The metropolitan city of Bengaluru is the largest city in South India having an estimated population of 12-13 million people. It is estimated that more than 25,000 waste pickers are in Bengaluru who actively collaborate with the local body Bruhat Bengaluru Mahanagara Palike (BBMP)

The organisation spread to the historical city of palaces in the year of 2016. The city has over 300 waste picker families and the nearby Nanjanagud has around 150 families. They are actively working with the local urban body Mysuru Municipal Corporation.

The coastal port city of Mangaluru is located between the Arabian Sea and the Western Ghats mountain range. The city of Davanagere is the seventh largest city in the state of Karnataka, and the administrative headquarters of eponymous Davanagere district. The city has a population of half about half a million and is located in the north west of Bengaluru at a distance of 265 Kms. The organisation has been working in the city of Davanagere actively since 2017. It is estimated that over 1000 waste picker families reside in Davanagere.

Chamarajanagar is the southernmost district in the state of Karnataka. The town has an estimated population of seventy thousand residents and is located 180 kms south of Bengaluru. The organisation has been operational in this small town since 2017. In addition, the organization is working in Gundalpet and exploring working in Kollegala. It is estimated that there are over 500 waste picker families in this cluster.

The city of Coimbatore is also called the “Manchester of South India” due to its extensive textile industry, fed by the surrounding cotton fields. The city has a population of 1.6 million people and is located in the southern state of Tamil Nadu some 365 kms away from the city of Bengaluru.
