Hasiru Dala is a social impact organisation that focuses on securing dignity, social security and livelihood opportunities for waste pickers and informal waste workers through interventions co-created with them. We have worked with waste pickers in Bengaluru since 2011, and incorporated as a Charitable Trust in November 2013.

Senior Director - Programme Management

Hasiru Dala is looking for a Senior Director for programs. The person should have at least 7 years of experience working in the development sector in a managerial position of an organization.

The key responsibilities include:

  • Program vision building and its implementation to align with Hasiru Dala’s vision and mission.
  • Support program implementation across all geographies
  • Co- Create new programs/opportunities that support the community
  • Program Data management
  • Program MIS development and deployment
  • Setting up and managing Monitoring and evaluations of the organization’s intervention
  • Report and Documentation of the initiatives
  • Maintain and nurture the relationship with donors
  • Able to manage program MIS and interpret financial MIS
  • Manage report writing to all the donors with the deadline

Place of Posting: Bengaluru
Expected Date of Joining: Immediate.

Criteria:
1. Proficient in Kannada and English is Mandatory. And Speaking Hindi, Tamil, or any South Indian language will be an added advantage.

Peer Counsellour – Bengaluru

Hasiru Dala is looking for a certified professional counsellor to work with our community programmes.

JOB DESCRIPTION:

✔ Need to conduct counselling sessions and perform assessments for survivors of emotional, physical, psychological violence and financial abuse.
✔ Need to be well-organized and able to complete the paperwork / documentation and need to document all their contact with clients and maintain detailed case files.
✔ Should slowly set up the team for Domestic Violence Survivors Counselling, De-addiction centre and legal clinic in future.
✔ provide advocacy and referrals for social services for survivors
✔ Need to create and build a module for Domestic Violence prevention and for awareness campaigns for the WP community.
✔ Respond to Domestic Violence emergencies in the basti’s / Slums and guide the community person / people in the right direction in coordination with HD Staff.
✔ Travel to different localities/ basti’s /slums in Bengaluru where the organization is operational when required.
✔ Guide community and HD staff in collection, accumulation, and management of Domestic Violence Related data.
✔ Work in tandem with the local Police Stations, Govt Depts, Women Rights organizations, local leaders, SHG Groups, etc.

Criteria:
1. Minimum 7 to 8 years of Experience.
2. Must be a certified professional counsellor. 3. Speaking and understanding Kannada is must. And Speaking Hindi, Tamil, Bengali will be an added advantage.
